Who: Local Teens (Ages 14-19)
When: June 12th - August 16th
Where: LifeBUILDERS Ministry Center (16435 E 8 Mile Road)
LifeBUILDERS Summer Youth Employment is a program that seeks to bring resources and opportunities to the youth of Detroit.
The program teaches them how to apply for a job and conduct themselves professionally, working with kids within our Summer Day Camp program, and also providing them hands-on experience with physical labor. The labor they’re assigned to is all labor that helps to beautify and remove blight within Regent Park.
They are paid hourly throughout the duration of the program and taught financial skills such as opening a bank account and budgeting their income.
